Caroline Batty is an experienced manager and leader who creates value by connecting ideas, people, strategies and projects – coalescing effort to achieve common goals. She particularly enjoys activating cultural change and improvement initiatives to improve outcomes and impact.
Caroline has significant experience working in large organisations, with multiple and competing priorities, demonstrating political nous and the ability to effectively assess strategic opportunities. She has worked within government, higher education and not for profit sectors across multiple disciplines (economic and industry development, education, migration, Aboriginal affairs, transport, disability and ageing as well as in central coordination). She has had careers as an Analyst, Public Policy Advisor and a Senior Project Manager. This experience together with her strong strategic and systems thinking skills enables her to bring new perspectives and solutions to internal and external organisational challenges.
Caroline has been the Chair of the Board since November 2018. Caroline first joined the DACSSA Board in 2015 building on her experience as the Treasurer for a Prospect Community Childcare Centre and Secretary of St Monica’s Parish School Board. She strongly believes in DACSSA’s values of integrity, progressive thinking, respect, courage and client focus and supports DACSSA to grow its support of South Australian’s living with a disability who are not being heard.
Caroline has a Bachelor of Economics and a Master of Business Administration (Advanced). She qualified as a Certified Practising Accountant, is a fellow of the Governor’s Leadership Institute and is a PROSCI certified change practitioner.
