Sensory Disability
SENSORY DISABILITY
This is a disability that affects the way sensory information is received and experienced by a person.
Examples of sensory disabilities include:
- Blindness
- Deafness
- Sensory processing.

Some people are born with a sensory disability, others may acquire it in their lifetime as a result of illness, injury or ageing.
A person with sensory disability may:
- Prefer using aids to assist with daily tasks
- Require breaks to help regulate sensory input
- Communicate in different ways
