Ruth – Disability Royal Commission Submission
Ruth came to DACSSA for assistance to prepare for her private session with a Commissioner of the Disability Royal Commission. Ruth lived more than 4 hours away and due to the nature of her degenerative disability, she was unable to meet with DACSSA face-to-face.
DACSSA used video technology to meet with Ruth, inform her about the DRC and her rights, offer referrals to support services like counselling and legal services, help draft notes for her private session and assist to prepare for her DRC experiences.
