Joe came to DACSSA because he was feeling confused and troubled. He’d seen things in his neighbourhood involving a person with disability that made him feel uncomfortable and he worried that person with disability was being abused.

DACSSA helped Joe to explore his observations, inform him of signs of disability abuse and facilitate a report to the appropriate bodies. It was discovered that multiple people with disability were being abused and through DACSSA’s assistance, Joe was empowered to report this so that action could happen to safeguard people with disability.
